Yoke not working in retropie or windows

Having an issue with the yoke whether on retropie or in windows. The "pitch" LED on the usb adaptor is constantly lit so I can't map it while setting it up. All other functions work. It worked when I first connected it so I know the usb cable is fine but then just stopped. Firmware was updated successfully to 3.1. Reached out to both James and Doug and didn't receive a response. Someone please help, not happy with this almost $500 paperweight.
