Another 1983 Star Wars Returned to former glory
Quote from Stickman on November 4, 2020, 12:14 pmI picked up a SW arcade cabinet that was ..let's say in need of some work, from a cabinet water damaged on one side, a vector screen not working and a faulty PCB.
All of this was in my ability to sort or know someone that could do it, the one thing that was a bit ask was the state of the controller. It had been worked on by a true 'professional!', I guess they handle pins had worn so they were drilled out and the first available bolt found stuck in. So four different bolts that had now elongated the holes and the 'slop' was ridiculous.
Finding the Alan-1 replacement was a god send, superbly made, arrived and has such a great solid feel, it was a straight swap out and it is now on the machine which has pride of place in the 'man cave'
Attached some pictures for all to see.
